Lesson 30: Shoulder and Blade (Direction, Action, and Rhythm)
Instructors show children the images and note:
- The geometrical form featured in the top image is called a shoulder.
- The shape featured in the bottom image is a blade as in lesson 28, but with the double curve reversed.
Children study the top image and complete the following drill work:
- Draw Exercise A, then B, then C.
- Draw Exercise A, then B, then C.
- Draw Exercise A, then B, then C.
- Draw Exercise B, then C, then D.
- Draw Exercise B, then C, then D.
Children study the bottom image and complete the following drill work:
- Draw Exercise A, then B, then C, then E.
- Draw Exercise A, then B, then C, then E.
- Draw Exercise B, then C, then D, then E.
- Draw Exercise B, then C, then D, then E.
- Draw Exercise B, then C, then D, then E.
